What is the Blue Flag?
The Blue Flag is an international eco-label awarded to beaches, marinas and tourism boats that meet strict environmental, safety, water quality and service criteria.
In Turkey, it is administered via the Turkish Environmental Education Foundation (TÜRÇEV), in cooperation with the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), based in Copenhagen.
The key criteria are bathing-water quality, environmental management, safety and access, environmental education and information.
